Pantai Laguna merbuk Hospital
Room 216 , 12-15Dec23,
Spouse admitted
Eligible single room, non avail.
Standbylisted since admission with an Indian lady staff nurse at front desk.
Was assured 13 Dec single room.
Since 4 bedded, 216 last end position,
noticed 2 single room unoccupied same day while passed by.
13 December
Attempt again, figure out a deluxe single available by a staff nurse on duty , checked through the computer. Agreed to pay the difference.
Later was told, room were given away to an earlier patient on their list.
Around 8 pm , noticed single room, 206 available. Anxious to be told that it was already booked by another earlier customer.
14 December
2 am, saw head of staff nurse in charge, request for assistance.
3 pm spouse transferred to VIP room.
15 December morning ,spouse recovered tremendously.
2pm discharged, waited in the room about 2 hours. Call up a nurse, she came into the room with documents and we were told to pay the difference and collect the medication by ourselves at the ground level.
Patient has to walk and no wheelchair assistant arrange for patient.
Conclusions:
1. Single bedded room peculiar hot selling cake hardly for an availability.
Solution:
Please solve the standby list patient name by update on a white board that are visible by both parties or any other way that is more amicable supervision.( Done by other hospital)
2. Room 216 were filled with stink urinated essence through out our stay 3 conservative days.
Solution:
Advised family members to provide adult pampers to particular patient.
3. Loud speaker from a video call made by
a patient at odd hours, i.e 5 am. Another patient was enjoying his movie on tv with an audible audiences which equavalent a for mini theater during daytime.
Solution:
I) Place equipment similar to Pantai Amanjaya to audio controller synchronized with tv.
ii) Alert patient about harmonizing other patients privacy.
4. Nevertheless the above explained scenarios had limited my spouse healing process. He needed a tranquil peace of mind as an abrupt blood pressure raised during at workplace upon emergency admission at this prestige private hospital.
Thus I have agreed to move my spouse to a VIP room that were only found left for single occupancy on the 14 th December 23

Had follow up clinic post op, the service is good. Waiting time around 20-30 mins for my first clinic and not long after that for 2nd clinic since both scheduled on the same day and time. Had surgery done under Dr Mathews (O&G) and Dr Shazly (Gen. Surgery).
